On this customer's home, storm winds and hail had damaged the roof and torn off shingles.
Here you can see a tarp covering storm damage and some of the shingles that have been ripped off.
This is the process of stripping of the old shingles so new materials can be placed on the roof.
Repairs had to be made to certain parts of the deck in the roof that had been damaged by water leakage that caused wood rot.
We also had to replace parts of the insulation under the decking that had water damage. Can't have soggy insulation!
Bad areas of the deck are replaced, patched, and the next layers on the roof are ready to be installed.
We installed a layer of TigerPaw synthetic felt to keep the base decking dry.
We replaced the old 3-tab shingles with a Timberline HD Lifetime Shingle.
All vents and pipes were painted to match the shingle color.
We also installed a ridge vent along the ridges of the roof. These provide excellent air circulation throughout the attic to help keep the attic cool during the hot summer.
We upgraded our customer's roof with top quality GAF products like Timberline HD shingles, TigerPaw syntheic felt, and ridge vents.
